The Southern California Prestige Series of Cyclocross formed in 2005 by an association of  cycling clubs motivated to become the premier cyclocross series in Southern California and the nation! The SoCalCross Prestige Series hosts races weekly across Southern California kicking off with the Happy Hour Tour series of promotional clinics and events running from September to January each year.  SoCalCross also hosts gravel events in the Spring and Summer signature LA Roubaix kicks off our Spring/Summer gravel ride season!

Thank you for racing SoCalCross 2018-19 Season!  Full of good times and moments 😀

We ended the season at the Greek Theatre Griffith Park for our 9th season and 15th at Verdugo Park.  So much fun at partner clubs bringing their passion party kicking off the season at Calimesa Country Club and now a camping classic at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo also SCNCA District Champs.  We returned to Veteran’s Park for the first time in 11  years for the NABRA CACX Champs and now a fan favorite course.  Camping makes CX so much fun and Lake Casitas although taking place later in November brought us 90 degree temps!  Four race days at Irvine Lake sandwiched by rain also brought 2 weekends of unique course designs making each day its own fun and challenge.  Special thanks to the City of Moreno Valley for supporting our sport at March Field Park and improving our CX features especially the sand sections and providing space our Prestige Series Finals:D

CX returns to Griffith Park for the 9th season!
Thank you City of LA for supporting bicycling all these years and working with us to get us back.

We will be returning to Greek Theater – Vermont Canyon Park
Sunday, January 13th to finish out the 2018-19 SoCalCross Season to determine the all in fun SoCalCross Fever and Season Champs including Duathlon, 5k Run and Tracklocross and just added Communtiy Cross!  Learn how to ‘cross with free CX beginner’s clinic by RideCX

The RULES for SoCalCross Fever 2019 will include Best of 3 Cross Fever Categories including Team plus Season Categories: Duathlon, Cross Run and Trackocross.

SCCF race 3 will be worth double points. In the event of tie whoever raced the most races in the series wins a limited edition Art of Cross 2019 SoCalCross Fever trophy and prizes!

Thanks for racing SoCalCross Prestige Series 2018 filled with lots of moments to remember! Post your favorite photos at SoCalCross Group on Flickr to remember the days of our lives 😀

It was great seeing the dedication, friendships and spirit of competition unfold.  We hosted 14 race days over 10 weekends covering close to 3 months of cyclocross action from north to south reaching San Luis Obispo, the Inland Empire, Orange County, Ventura County and Los Angeles County.  Hopefully we can get San Diego back on the Series Calendar as a faithful group from SD County made the trip each week! Highlights included our kick-off at Calimesa Golf Course, SLO SCNCA and CACX NABRA Champs, and twice finished at Moreno Valley March Field Park implementing cyclocross infrastructure at March Field Park. Race Results from the Season can be found HERE

2018-19 SoCalCross Prestige Series Standings include: overall Season Standings for CXC Run, Duathlons, Team Relay and Fixed Gear Tracklocross which will continue to the end of the 2019-18 Season for special awards by Jeff Herring – Art of Cross!

Cross into 2019 with SoCalCross Fever 1/2: CXC-OC-MTB Showdown at Silverado – Irvine Lake!

This Winter Season CX, MTB, Run races in 2019 continues SoCalCross racing with Best 3 take the podium and the end of the cross racing season!  SCCF 1/2 at Irvine Lake brings MTB flavor into the mix.  SCCF 3 at returns us to Griffith Park at the Greek Theater Vermont Canyon Park for our 9th season!  Then save the date: Sunday, February 3rd for our annual CX Worlds Gravel Ride & Viewing Party!

SoCalCross Fever 1/2:  CXC Showdown in the OC will include two days of bicycles and running to get your new year started and celebration toasts to 2019! Including:

  • MTB Short Track
  • XC 5k-10k Run
  • Dirt Duathlon
  • MTB-CX Team Relay
  • CX cyclo-cross Racing

SoCalCross Fever Finale will take place Sunday, January 13th at the City of Los Angeles largest Park – Griffith Park and our 9th consecutive season!  We will be returning to the Greek  Theatre – Vermont Canyon Park.

We will celebrate the end of the season with Single Speed, Team Relay and Fixed Gear Tracklocross Finals!
