In 2010, David Sheek and Chris Han from SDG Components collaborated with
Tyler Anspach, owner of Speed Defies Gravity (SDG), to launch the SDG Factory
Racing program. The mission was threefold: provide an organized platform with a
small budget to field a Southern California based team of athletes to be dominant in
the local region, competitive at national events, and provide opportunities for and
develop junior athletes and promote active lifestyles in the Southern California
community. Almost a year later, with continue support from SDG, and other
businesses, the team continues to exceed its original goals by carrying its mission
outside the Southern California area and consistently sending athletes to compete at
the highest levels. The team and its members have won state championships,
members have competed internationally, and distinguished itself through consistent
displays of professionalism and good sportsmanship.
Our program plans to not only continue to coach and support rider clinics but to bring
in junior racers to train and develop their skills as well as weekend warrior age group
racers who are positive about the sport and add team impressions to the community.
We are proud of our program and our ability to consistently execute and achieve
outstanding results.
