The SoCalCross Prestige Series will soon return for its 8th year with a full schedule of exciting events beginning in late September and running into January of 2014.
Along with high-quality courses at comfortable and convenient venues throughout the region, CX enthusiasts can look forward to eco-sport festivals, health and wellness outreach, vendor expos, skills clinics, gourmet food trucks, live bands, fun non-competitive events as well as sightseeing rides for the entire family.
The exact schedule – covering 14 weekends this fall/early winter – will be announced very soon. In the meantime, we’re stoked to reveal a few of the upcoming highlights:
- Spooky Kross Weekend at the Fairplex in Pomona. The always-rollicking Spooky Cross takes place on Saturday evening, October 26, followed the next day by Krosstoberfest. This will once again feature two days of UCI Elite Men and Women races as well as Junior Men 17-18 categories.
- Come for the racing, stay for the party: Spooky Kross Weekend is a celebration of all things cycling, with Octoberfest, a concert, a Velo Swap Meet, fun rides and much more in store.
- CXLA Weekend at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on November 30/December 1. Going off in the shadows of downtown L.A., this will also feature two days of UCI elite racing. Saturday evening’s event will once again serve as the season finale of the three-race Cross After Dark national series.
To help get the party started, SoCalCross will again host a series of pre-season events. That’s right, the Earlybird Cyclocross Ride and Happy Hour Tour returns! Join us for this end-of-summer array of casual practice races and fitness-building gravel rides. This schedule will be announced soon as well.
Cyclocross season just around the corner. This sport continues to reach new heights, and we’d love for you to be a part of the action. SoCalCross is back and bigger than ever.
