SoCalCross – The final stretch home.
The UCI CXLA Weekend complete, the Series turns SoCalCrossers North to Los Olivos and San Luis Obispo.
Memories of the season and the pinnacle at CXLA Weekend brought the star-power to the rain-soaked weekend of mud and at night. Â What a weekend. Â The Prestige Series represents racing from San Diego to San Luis Obispo so northbound racers chased points first at the Dirt Club in Los Olivos. Â The sunshine and low 70s tempuratures mixed with freshly greened hillsides made for a magical setting. Â Race Director Mike Hecker and Course Designer Jason Siegle challenge racers with dirt piles and run ups and steep off-camber turns and climbs made for a physical course.
SLO Cross at El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo brought day two of beautiful conditions. This year the course was reversed sending racers uphill and over a barrier forced the run up and then lots of twisting course including the cinnamon roll and double sand pit was definately challenging for the racers. Local cycling club SLO-Nexus hosted the race. Â Good times. Good vibes.
