The 4th edition of City Cross kicks off the Long Beach BikeFest Saturday, May 7th brought to you by SoCalCross, Bikeable Communities and the Downtown Long Beach Business Associates!

City Cross, a short circuit ‘cyclocross’ race will utilize the streets and alley ways of the Long Beach Arts District with fun ‘city’ obstacles! Plus, enjoy the festival with lots to do at the BikeFest throughout the day, including live music and Expo!  The Wolfpack Hustle Shortline Crit will take over the afternoon into the night with fixed gear criterium racing full speed ahead action!

• 11:00am Registration opens at Linden Vendor Village
• 12:30pm Course Open for Inspection – Start/Finish on Broadway at Linden
• 1:00pm City Cross Championship Qualifiers (3 laps) – fastest lap time of the 3 determines finals grouping
• 1:30pm Community Cross: Beginner Friendly – tamer options on course (5 laps)
• 2:00pm Kiddie Cross (for the little ones striders welcomed ages 2 up to 9 yrs) – short course at Start/Finish with some kiddie-sized obstacles
• 2:30pm City Cross Championships B Group Finals (6 laps)
• 3:00pm City Cross Championships A Group- finals (9 laps)
• 3:30pm Costume Bike Parade on Broadway
• 4:00PM Costume Contest / Awards at Linden Main Stage

ABOUT BIKEFEST:  Downtown Long Beach Bike Fest, celebrates everything wondrous about the bicycle in Long Beach. Enjoy the festivities on Linden (between Broadway & 1st) including the New Belgium Beer Garden, the bike friendly businesses, try your best at the City Grounds Gold Sprints, and more!

Bike enthusiasts can enjoy the competitive elements of City Cross or the Shortline Criterium or kick-back and enjoy the live music, vendor expo and spend some time at the local eateries and pubs of the Arts District!!

The city’s ultimate event dedicated to all things two-wheeled, Bike Fest, returns to Downtown Long Beach on May 7 from 1PM to 9PM at Linden between Broadway and 1st Streets.
