Now that CX is over, it’s time to race!
Now that the cyclocross season is in hybernation for the next 8 months, cyclists find their stride in other facets of cycling including: Road, BMX, Mountain Bike and Triathlon. SoCalCross Prestige and Cross Fever Youth (under 10 years old) Champion Brody McDonald (Omega Bike Shop) takes his fitness in CX into the road time trial. Amazingly similar – these two cycling disciplines are world’s apart. Brody comes from BMX racing – but his natural skills shine through. Here is Brody during his time trial around fiesta island. His time was 14.09 with an average speed of almost 18 mph. One lap is about 5.4 miles! He was 30 seconds behind the 10-12 year old class winner. His next race is March 6. Look for more features throughout the summer on the achievements of our SoCalCrossers as well as upates on the coming season. We are organizing now. If you would like to to be a part of the SoCalCross 2011-12 season, contact: Dot@SoCalCross.org
