One of the most popular stops on the SoCalCross Prestige Series schedule takes place this coming weekend. It’s the sixth edition of the legendarySpooky Cross! Spooky happens this year at Irvine Lake, with afternoon/evening CX madness onSaturday, 10/25, followed the next day, 10/26, with another full slate of racing. This doubleheader will make up Rounds 5 and 6 of the SoCalCross Series. Sunday’s celebration of Dia de los Muertos bringing some local Latin flavor to the weekend and  is also Round 4 of the inaugural California Cyclocross Series. For more on the CACX, visit www.CaliforniaCX.com.This is an event you cannot miss. The highlight could be the typically outrageous costume contest and any-bike-goes ‘cross race (with pumpkin barriers!), but there will also be a doggiecross, kids’ racing, a pumpkin carving contest, a brewfest and more, all on the Irvine Lake shoreline. It’s a race, it’s a Halloween party, it’s possibly the most fun you can have on two wheels. The costume contest/race costs only $5.00 to enter. Or on two feet! There’s even a 5K run first thingSunday morning.

As always, this series could not take place without the enthusiastic and dedicated support of cycling clubs, shops and businesses. This year’s key supporters include Voler Team Apparel, Jenson USA, Knobbe Martens, Clif Bar, TRP Brakes, LA Bicycle Attorney, Castex, American Classic, Union Sport, H&S Bicycles, Squareone Athletics, Bike Effect, Cadence, Montrose Bike Shop, Rock N Road Cyclery, Golden Saddle Cyclery, Pasadena Cyclery,  The Mob Shop, Pedalers Fork 10 Speed Coffee, Orange 20 Bikes, Empire Bikes, The Bike Shop, Craig Abrams, D.C., SoCalCycling.com, Road Runner Bags, NUUN Hydration, American Classic, Magic Cycle Werks, Pro Gold,  Kook N Fit Sport, Sock Guy, Velo Allegro, PAA REMAX, SLO Nexus, and the the rest of the clubs, volunteers and staff who lend a hand to make us go round and round.
