What a weekend of cyclocross racing at Irvine Lake in Orange County!  The weather warmed up 90 degrees just in time for the lights to go down and SoCalCross Prestige Series race 5 Spooky Cross Night Race take full effect with four of the 7 waves of racing into the night!

Sunday racers woke up to Day 2 of the Spooky Cross Weekend: SCPS6: Dia de los Muertos.  About 100 racers braved the weekend’s physical course comprised of grass start onto gravel dirt road then into the Baja Beach club sand zone not one not two but three sand sections per lap!  The TRP barriers a fun welcomed sight on flat fast in front of the team zone led by race sponsor G2 Bike and Sand Section complete with BBQ and DJ Tres Leches bring the full flavor of OC CX racers to shine!  The highlight of the course was the Wall of Fame or shame depending if you could ride it or climb it with some riders rolling back down the steep dirt wall.  The features of this course made for great viewing zones all around the course with cheerleaders and hecklers all around!
