SoCal Gravel Trofee #2: Jewel City Grind!

The 5th annual Jewel City Ride Fun and Fitness Day will offer four exciting bicycle rides including an altogether new mixed terrain gravel adventure ride! All rides depart from the Glendale YMCA on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
7:00AM Jewel City Grind: Gravel adventure (40 miles 4,700 feet of climbing or take the 30 mile shortcut route) mixed terrain (40% dirt) It’s all dirt over the Verdugo Mountains via Stough Canyon Nature Center, the Tree of Life, Power Line Trail, up the San Gabriels to Gould Mesa Campground in the Arroyo Seco, up and over the San Rafael Hils at Cherry Canyon to Fern Sports Complex Cataline Verdugo Adobe and Verdugo Park before returning to Glendale. **CX or mountain bikes recommended.
7:00AM: The Tour de Y: Glendale-Burbank Foothills (40 miles, 3,000 feet of climbing) around the Verdugo up and over the San Rafael Mountains including La Tuna Canyon Road, Chevy Chase, Art Center, Glen Oaks and the historic Eagle Rock Landmark.
8:30AM The Tour de Y: Beginner-friendly Road Ride (16 miles) passing by Glendale’s historic Adobes, Brand Park, and a SAG support pit stop at the Burbank YMCA.
Also, 9:00AM Jewel City FREE Family Ride – 5 mile ride around Downtown Glendale and neighborhoods led by the Glendale PD!
