SoCalCross UCI Weekend #2 11/6-7: formerly LA Dam Cross is now UCI Cyclocross LA: Live at the Greek!
The weekend’s racing will officially move to the City of Los Angeles’ largest and most popular park: Griffith Park – Vermont Canyon at the Greek Theatre. Griffith Park is just 15 miles south of Hansen Dam and located in the City of Los Angeles.
Race Day Registration opens at 7:30am and available for all categories. UCI categories registration will close one hour before race start and all other categories 20 minutes before race start.

Slated to race this weekend is the widest range of talent in the elite men’s field in SoCal’s Cyclocross history! In the elite men’s race: Team Radioshack’s – Chris Horner – 10th place in the Tour de France, Kona’s Ryan Trebon and Erik Tonkin, Rapha-Focus’ Chris Jones and Zach McDonald, Rabobank/Giant’s Adam Craig, Team Clif Bar’s Troy Wells, Cal Giant’s – Cody Kaiser, Jeremy Ferguson, and Justin Robinson, Redline’s Ryan Iddings, HRS Rock Lobster brings Aaron Odell and Josh Snead and more from as far as Canada and Colorado!
SoCalCross’ Series Leader Sid Taberlay (Sho-Air), Brent Prenzlow (Celo Pacific), Brandon and Kyle Gritters (Rock N Road), , The Bailey Boys – Bailey and Behrens, our local young studs U23 Morgan Ryan (The TEAM SoCalCross) will challenge their visitors as the region looks to grow the quality if this elite riding.
On the women’s side representing Utah, Washington, Oregon, Nor Cal and So Cal we have: Sue Butler and Kathy Gaston Sherwin (Hudz-Subaru), Barbara Howe (Ibis), Redline’s Kari Studley, HRS Rocklobster’s Sarah Kerlin, Devon Haskell and Courtney Dimple (Bike Aptos), Emily Thurston (Missing Link), and SoCal Prestige Series Leader Allison Mann (Rock N Road), and second in the Series Amanda Schaper (SDG Factory), Masters champs Trina Baumsteiger (Rambuski), Kris Walker (Contender), Beverly Chaney (Roaring Mouse), and Dot Wong (TEAM SoCalCross) while SoCal’s up-and-coming studdettes include: Coryn Rivera (PB&Co 2012), Kendall and Alexis Ryan (TEAM SoCalCross), Pro Roadie Megan Elliott (Black Mtn) and more should jump on board to join the fun!

Racer/event parking has been added to keep the spaces open for other park users. Please keep it open so people can easily park and check out the festival. If we take up all the parking, people cannot stop to see what it is all about. Also, we have potties and registration easily accessible from the lot. $5 day/donation to keep cross alive. Please help us keep this event going on and importantly affecting how other bicycle events occur in the future.
